About the Bear Tribe:
The Bear Tribe Medicine Society is a group of people striving to re-learn the proper relationship with Mother Earth; the Great Spirit, and all our relations in the mineral, plant, animal and human kingdoms. The Bear Tribe is based on the medicine visions of Sun Bear, a Chippewa medicine man. We are a tribe of teachers responsible for sharing with others those lesson of harmony that we have successfully learned.

Throughout our teaching we stress that the dominant society has created imbalances because of ignorance and irresponsibility. We know that during this time small groups of people will begin again to live together in love and harmony. This is the vision of the Tribe: to teach people they can live in manner that will allow them to understand the changes that are occurring on Mother Earth, and to take their places as Her caretakers.
